Schick Family Collection
The Shick Family Collection (Europe – Israel) is the largest private collection of ancient amulets known today. Comprising over 220 items, it gives a comprehensive overview of amulets in the Roman Imperial Period. Research and publication of the collection are realised within the framework of an international collaboration among experts specialised in the different object groups represented in the collection.
The project is led by Christopher A. Faraone (University of Chicago) and Árpád M. Nagy (University of Pécs, Palladion); Phoinix datasheets are edited by Barbara Takács (ELTE Budapest).
