Heliotrope gem: Anguipes, voces (A) voces (B)
Green-red jasper (heliotrope). Side A upright oval, side B transverse oval, side A slightly, side B strongly convex.(Shape 4). Polished.
Side A: Frontal view of a cock-headed Anguipes in armour. Right hand holding a whip, left hand hidden behind an oval shield, which is inscribed in two lines: ια|ω → Ἰάω. Around the figure: ακρα μα χρμα ρει → variant of Ἀκραμμαχαμαρεί.
Side B: Characteres (?) and Greek inscription in four lines: ζβα|εθξπψ|αβλαναθ|αναλβα → unidentified voces and the Ἀβλαναθαναλβα-palindrome.
