Orange carnelian gem, transverse oval, flat, edge rounded.  (Shape 8c). Intact.

Side A: Head of ram to left, holding a stalk of grain in its mouth. Latin inscription all around, beginning at the bottom and going counter-clockwise, in mirror-writing: H O R E S T I → transliteration of the Greek ὡροσ(κόπος) ἔστι(ν), 'This is the horoscope'. Probably post-antique.
Side B: Undecorated.
