Milky white chalcedony gem; upright oval, both sides flat. (Shape 8–9). Edge slightly chipped, placed in a modern gold mount. Post-antique.
Side A: Frontal view of a cock-headed Anguipes, wearig armour, head in profile to right. There is a round shield in the left hand of the figure, with porpax and antilabe visible, and a whip in the raised right hand. Four eight-pointed stars in the free field around the figure.
Side B: Three lines of Greek inscription: ιαω|εισαν|ιακω → voces including Ἰάω.
