Provenience:
Dark green jasper, transverse oval, flat.  (Shape 8). Intact, mounted in a modern gold ring. 
Purchased through A. Steinbüchel in Volterra in 1818.

Side A: The solar child sits with knees drawn up, in profile to left on a lotus flower placed in a papyrus boat. He raises his right hand to his mouth, there is a flail in his left hand, and a headband in his hair. At each end of the boat, a falcon perches, crowned with a solar disk, facing inwards. Facing the solar child from the right, an ithyphallic baboon stands in profile, crowned with the solar disk and raising its paws in greeting.
Side B: Hidden.
