Haematite gem: Ibis, Hermes, Anubis
Almost round haematite gem. Both sides flat, trapezoid section (Shape 8). Side A intact, scratches on side B.
Side A: Three figures standing, each on its own baseline. On the left, an ibis facing right, holding a kerykeion and crowned with the atef, complete with ram's horns and uraei. In the centre, a nude male figure (probably Hermes) turning to the left; his left arm bent behind his back and holding a palm branch, his right hand holding a money bag, which he extends towards the ibis. He is wearing shoes and a chlamys, of which only the part draped along his left arm is indicated. On the right, the jackal-headed Anubis turns to the left, holding an object (another money bag? Michel) in his right hand. Greek inscription above the figures: κομβοβα, between the figures, by their feet δα ρ υ | ν γ ω → κομβοβα and variant of δαρυγκω.
Side B: Plain.
