Upright oval, obverse flat and polished, reverse convex. Translucent white stone with reddish-brown speckles, set in a mediaeval gold ring. Found at Chichester Cathedral, at the tomb of a bishop. Post-antique? 

Side A: Cock-headed Anguipes in armour seen from the front, head turned to the left. The figure holds a pear-shaped shield in his right hand, and a mace in his raised left hand. Inverted T-shaped notches in the shield to indicate the porpax? 
Side B: Plain.

Description based on close observation of the gem by Árpád M. Nagy (2012) and Adél Ternovácz (2025).
